Red tail boa cage set up! Please offer more advice...?

Today I bought a 3ft red tail boa from a guy that couldn't keep it anymore. It came with a 30gallon tank with a lamp with a regular bulb in it. He told me he keeps his reptiles in a very warm humid room so he has no need for a basking lamp. I'm worried about humidity levels...I currently use eco earth for my ball python and it works great, but half of the cage is wrapped in suran wrap to help keep humidity along with a 20 dollar humidifier I bought from the pet store. Should I wrap the red tails screen top in suran wrap too ? I'm using eco earth in his cage as well. I changed the regular bulb out and put a 100watt basking bulb in I have a UTH but no dimmer I'm afraid I'll burn the snake, I have 2 UTH pads on my ball pythons cage but it doesnt burn him because he has alot of bedding. Can someone give me advice for a better set up? I know I need to buy dimmers but what else would you suggest? Can I use a moonlight at night to keep him warm until I can get a dimmer for the UTH?

my boas do fine in vivs misted 3 times daily. i own two rtbs, a yearling female colombian, and a 3 year old male colombian. the light will not burn the snake, and youre going to an extreme with humidity. i like the saran wrap idea, and i thing ill use it for my dumerlies monitor. thanks for that, but thery dont need as high of humidity as many people think. they liver as far up as cancun, which has very low humidity. theres a subspecies thatr lives in the desserts of mexico. you dont need dimmers. ive never used them. i use night bulbs at winter, red or purple, and actually dont use anything in the summer due to an average night temp of 80 and humid.

my setups are as followed- 1 20 gallon short tank, longer than a normal 20 gallon, 55 gallon length, but 7 inches high. great for terrestrial boas with 2 lamps, 1 60 watt bulb due to the closeness, and 1 60 watt red night bulb flourescent strip. uth pad on 1/4 of tank. now for the interior- aspen shaving substrate with 3 hides, 1 in the middle 1 on each side, and a water bowl.

second set up is for the smaller boa, 20 gallon tank with mixed aspen and dirt substrate 1 hood with a flourescent strip and a day and night bulb, both 75 watts 1/2 tank has under tank heat pad. both enclosures have half glass half screen tops.
