Is Phantom of the Opera too scary for an 11 year old?
I bought tickets to see Phantom of the Opera for me, my partner and his 11 year old son. I have not seen the musical in years, and don't remember that much about it. Are there scary parts we should watch out for? Overall, it is too scary for a child? I just don't remember! Thanks.
It can be disturbing to someone that understands the context of the situation.
In general that context is very adult and emotional. Having to do with loneliness and sexual frustration, longing for what you can't have. A child only understands this on a small scale. It will go right over an 11 year olds head.
