Why are they making a new Nightmare on Elm Street without Robert Englund?
This is ridiculous. Robert IS Freddy. Why the hell isn't he going to be in the new movie?
I thought Freddy was played very well by Robert Englund. Robert can't play the part forever. Lets look at it this way. When it was announced that Heath Ledger was playing The Joker in "The Dark Knight", I thought what are they thinking. Jack Nicholson is the only one who can play The Joker. But once I saw the new adaption by Heath Ledger, I thought it couldn't be any better. Lets not get our hopes down so fast with the new Freddy. I'm sure it will turn out great.
On The 13th August 2008 it was announced that Billy Bob Thornton would be portraying Freddy in the new "A Nightmare on Elm Street"(2010).
